\nQuand l’\u00e9cologie domestique fait un carton sur internet !<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Zero Waste Home est le livre de la franco-am\u00e9ricaine B\u00e9a Johnson qui propose de se simplifier la vie en r\u00e9duisant ses d\u00e9chets. Il a fait un tabac sur la blogosph\u00e8re.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Fran\u00e7aise, mari\u00e9e \u00e0 un am\u00e9ricain, Bea Johnson a le d\u00e9clic quand un changement dans sa vie professionnelle\u00a0entra\u00eene\u00a0une r\u00e9duction de son train de vie. Elle s\u2019interroge alors sur son mode de vie,\u00a0et notamment le temps et l’argent d\u00e9pens\u00e9s \u00e0 consommer, et sur son impact \u00e9cologique. C\u2019est d\u00e9cid\u00e9, elle va changer radicalement sa mani\u00e8re de vivre.<\/span><\/p>\n

R\u00e9sultat : sa famille de cinq personnes ne produit plus qu’un kilo de d\u00e9chets par an, contre une tonne pour un am\u00e9ricain moyen !<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

D’abord, faire le vide dans ses armoires :<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Pour B\u00e9a Johnson, la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape consiste \u00e0 faire un \u00e9tat des lieux. Pi\u00e8ce par pi\u00e8ce, il faut ouvrir ses placards et se demander pour chaque objet : fonctionne-t-il ? Est-il vraiment utile ? Est-ce-que je m’en sers vraiment ? Normalement, apr\u00e8s cette premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape on se retrouve avec un tas de choses \u00e0 vendre ou donner !<\/p>\n

Le projet Zero Waste se base ensuite sur les 5 \u00ab\u00a0R\u00a0\u00bb :<\/strong><\/h2>\n

– R<\/strong>efuser ce dont on n\u2019a pas besoin, comme les articles en plastique \u00e0 usage unique, les cadeaux gratuits, les imprim\u00e9s publicitaires\u2026<\/p>\n

– R<\/strong>\u00e9duire ce dont on a besoin et qui ne peut pas \u00eatre refus\u00e9 : B\u00e9a Johnson conseille de ne pas se ruer sur les produits emball\u00e9s au supermarch\u00e9 et de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rer les produits en vrac. De ne pas prendre n\u00e9cessairement sa voiture, si on peut faire le trajet \u00e0 pied ou en v\u00e9lo, et, par exemple, de n’imprimer un document que si on en a vraiment besoin.<\/p>\n

– R<\/strong>\u00e9utiliser : ce qui permet d\u2019utiliser plusieurs fois le m\u00eame objet en lui donnant (ou non) une autre utilit\u00e9. Ainsi, un sac plastique peut servir \u00e0 transporter des chaussures boueuses ou devenir un sac poubelle.<\/p>\n

– Mais \u00e9galement de R<\/strong>ecycler et de composter le R<\/strong>este\u2026<\/p>\n

Le livre est une invitation \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir sur votre propre consommation et \u00e0 adopter une attitude plus responsable. B\u00e9a Johnson qui prend l\u2019avion, mange de la viande et conduit une voiture, sait qu\u2019elle n\u2019est pas un mod\u00e8le d’\u00e9cologie. Elle souhaite juste partager ses exp\u00e9riences, les bonnes comme les mauvaises, dans sa qu\u00eate du z\u00e9ro d\u00e9chet.<\/p>\n
